The approval of the European Chips act in 2023 will strengthen Europe’s competitiveness and resilience in semiconductor technologies and applications, which are seen as pivotal for sustainable technology and industrial growth Germany holds a central positions in the European semiconductor value chain with both production and R&D capabilities and is prioritizing to continuously develop their semiconductors industry, with large investments earmarked for the industry Bringing together key industry stakeholders, from chip designers to manufacturers and solution providers, is a strategic step in delivering on future European objectives and demand.

To continue the dialogues on European semiconductor collaborations initiated during last year's Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Swedish Embassy in Germany, Business Sweden and the multinational semiconductor manufacturer GlobalFoundries invite a selection of Swedish solution providers and semiconductor SMEs to visit GlobalFoundries’ site in Dresden, Germany.

The program will include introductory presentations by GlobalFoundries, and the participating Swedish companies, la b tours and an interactive networking dinner with additional stakeholders from the Silicon Saxony Cluster to bring together Swedish semiconductor core industry actors, solution providers and GlobalFoundries representatives with the purpose of identifying synergies and collaboration opportunities in Europe and beyond.
